The 6,000m2 purpose-built academic centre is to accommodate North Bristol NHS Trust?s training and education facilities and the research activities currently undertaken at Southmead.

The new pathology building will provide a state-of-the-art blood science and genetics facility. The 5,000m2 building will house a fully automated laboratory for non-specialist blood science work that will be backed up by a series of specialist laboratories.
